The game
Color is your progress.
The world starts out faded, almost gray. Red, green and blue return one at a time, and each color changes what you see: after red and green, yellow, brown and skin tones appear on their own, and wood and paths get their color back. The world itself shows you how far you have come.
Colors are your tactics.
Every enemy has a color, and that color is also its strength. The light it lacks until white is its life. Your weapons fill it in until it is completely white and purified. Against a red enemy, green and blue help; a black figure needs a bit of everything and lasts the longest. Your armor protects per color: red protects against red.
A world that grows warmer.
The gray village feels quiet and a little sad, but not threatening. With every color it becomes cozier. Along the way there is a story with dialogue, told in pixel art from a slanted top-down view.
This site documents the development from the start: in the devlog and in the wiki.

Color prototype: a gray village
A first playable prototype of the core idea: the world starts gray, and three shrines return red, green and blue.
